I wish to mark a point of contention with my friend Jena. While I trust her opinion wholeheartedly, I must say that low-calorie frozen yogurt may be closer to my heart than my own dog (and I love my dog), so I consider it a personal point of expertise. This is why I felt I had to step in to share the U.E.S. fro-yo secret: Sedutto. CONT'D
In terms of culinary locales, the Upper East Side doesn’t have much to offer. It’s full of local haunts, family favorites, and quick date spots – none of which ever really make the trip up the 6-train worth it. Nothing except Sedutto. This ice cream shop (or rather, self-referentially, shop of “crema di eleganza”) offers a wide array of hard ice-creams and ice-cream concoctions (cakes, bombshells, and the likes) but, trust us, the absolute knockout is the frighteningly low-calorie frozen yogurt (80 calories per half cup – even beats Tasti D!). Quite honestly, you would mistake it soft-serve were it not clearly labeled. Vanilla, chocolate, and coffee are constants, but each day, four special flavors rotate in throughout the year. While there is no real way of guessing what or when an exact flavor will be listed, they usually run a regular system: one peanut butter type, one mocha, one fruit, and one outta left field. Flavors are inventive too: Fluffernutter, blueberry, Mounds, pumpkin pie, burnt sugar, Tootsie-Roll, or even (my personal favorite) tiramisu.
While the flavors are all fantastic, the texture is what really makes the treat. Each serving is thick, velvety smooth, and delivered in generous portions. The $3.75 medium probably piles 150% overrun! The thing is a mountain! Generosity seems to fit the perfectly pleasant staff, always willing to have a chat or offer a sample. Plus their late-night hours, open until 11:30, makes them the perfect dessert spot post uptown dinner party.

About Us
We are young (early 20's) and hungry (for knowledge! music! art! food!) friends living on (or in areas which border) Manhattan. We moved to the city seeking higher education, and an alternative to frat parties and gin buckets. We prefer a bottle of Chianti to a keg, lunches at City Bakery to a dining hall, Joe's to Starbucks, Frankie's Amatriciana to Batali's. Our uniting factor is our love for food. For detailed, personal information, keep reading.
