Bottle Up & Go's Boilo-Lithowanian Whiskey Citrus
RECIPE
February 18, 2010

Bottle Up & Go
Bottle Up and Go aren't psychadelic, they steer clear of Caribbean rhythms, and they don't tinker with synthesizers and piles of samplers. These Brooklyn boys stick out like a sore thumb in their chosen burough for playing rootsy, foot-stomping, blues rock. It's refreshing, and we dig it. Check out Bottle Up & Go's homemade winter cocktail that should warm you right up on these cold snowy nights. And be sure to download a free track from the band by clicking HERE Bottle Up & Go's Boilo - Lithowanian Whiskey Citrus Good for cold nights. Good for sinuses and tummy. This drink is amazing, it is a family recipe. It truley does make you drunk fast while feeling good and wholesome. There is no harm in making this drink strong. Drink Ingredients: 1 liter of whiskey 3 lemons 2 oranges 3 orange rinds 3 lemon rinds 2 cups of orange juice 4 heavy cinnamon sticks 10-12 whole pepper corns 10-12 whole allspice 2 tablespoons of caraway seeds Directions: -All into a pot (like you are making soup): -Squeeze out 3 Lemons and 2 Oranges, 2 cups of orange juice, 3 orange and 3 lemon rinds. -Make a satchel of spices (you could use a coffee filter or cheese cloth...something porous): 4 heavy cinnamon sticks 10-12 whole pepper corns 10-12 whole allspice 2 tablespoons of carroway seeds -First you bring the pot with orange and lemon juices and rinds to a boil, then add the satchel of spices (add while its boiling, and then once it is in, bring heat down to low). -Once the heat is down to low, let it all simmer together for 30 mins. AFTER 30 MINS OF SIMMERING: Then you take a cup of honey and 3 tablespoons of sugar, mix that up, then add a bottle of whiskey. Once the whiskey has been added, take out satchel. Do not keep the whiskey for too long on the stove, you don't want the alcohol to boil out. Whiskey should be the last thing you add. Serve warm!

About Us
We are young (early 20's) and hungry (for knowledge! music! art! food!) friends living on (or in areas which border) Manhattan. We moved to the city seeking higher education, and an alternative to frat parties and gin buckets. We prefer a bottle of Chianti to a keg, lunches at City Bakery to a dining hall, Joe's to Starbucks, Frankie's Amatriciana to Batali's. Our uniting factor is our love for food. For detailed, personal information, keep reading.

Steering clear of Caribbean rhythms is always a mistake. Too bad.
