When the weather is agreeable there is no better place to be than the Frying Pan, a boat resurrected from the bottom of the Chesapeake bay, relocated to Chelsea Piers, and transformed into a raucous bar/restaurant. Don't be dismayed by the paper plates and plastic cups because the food--burgers, salads and seafood-- is actually pretty good. Cheeseburgers are served with thick slices of juicy tomatoes and raw onions on fresh brioche rolls; jerk chicken sandwiches come with a tangy mango salsa. Pair either with the irresistible garlic fries...
Lounge on the dock with a bucket of Coronas and take in the view of the Hudson, or grab a friend and explore below. The lower levels of the boat includes catwalks, engine rooms, and other dusty, crooked, seemingly dangerous interiors which are curiously open to the drunken public. Numerous beers encourage you to indulge your inner child and explore the lower levels. But be warned, we've heard (and seen) people doing some very un-childlike things in the unsupervised captains quarters.

About Us
We are young (early 20's) and hungry (for knowledge! music! art! food!) friends living on (or in areas which border) Manhattan. We moved to the city seeking higher education, and an alternative to frat parties and gin buckets. We prefer a bottle of Chianti to a keg, lunches at City Bakery to a dining hall, Joe's to Starbucks, Frankie's Amatriciana to Batali's. Our uniting factor is our love for food. For detailed, personal information, keep reading.
