Melitzanosalata, Skordalia, feta, grape leaves
105 Thompson Btwn Prince and Spring St
(p) 212-925-1040
While Snack does serve full-sized meals, it does so in a tiny, snack-sized space. With only a few tables (maybe five?), lines can be out the door for a seat at this tasty Greek restaurant. To start off your meal, be sure to order a slew of Meze (cold and hot appetizers), which include a cool tzatzik (cucumber yogurt dip), classic houmous, hearty malitzanosalata (roasted eggplant), and savory Keftedakia (veal meatballs with almonds, pine nuts and prunes). All Meze are served with triangularly cut pita which are freshly baked and highly addictive...
On a lighter note, salads options include the classic Greek salad in addition to red pepper, roasted beets, and butter bean salads, respectively. Interesting Greek-inspired sandwiches like the Vegetarian Souvlaki (veggies in a gigantic pita pocket with tzatziki and butter beans), and the braised lamb on ciabatta are a refreshing and rich change of pace. To accompany the food, Greek beers, fruit juices, and iced coffees reinforce the authenticity of this tiny, feta-filled spot.

About Us
We are young (early 20's) and hungry (for knowledge! music! art! food!) friends living on (or in areas which border) Manhattan. We moved to the city seeking higher education, and an alternative to frat parties and gin buckets. We prefer a bottle of Chianti to a keg, lunches at City Bakery to a dining hall, Joe's to Starbucks, Frankie's Amatriciana to Batali's. Our uniting factor is our love for food. For detailed, personal information, keep reading.
